Saffron (for which read turmuric) buns

Whilst recently in St. Ives, I discovered 'saffron buns', 
a Cornish delicacy ...



... yum!


Following a quick Google, turns out to be a Swedish delicacy too

Here's my 'budget' version, substituting turmeric for saffron
based-ish on a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall recipe for pulla bread

180ml milk
50g butter
120g sugar
shake of sea salt
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 egg
300g bread flour
140g plain flour
2 tsp yeast



Filling comprises:

50g brown sugar
50g butter
sultanas
orange peel
1 tbsp cinnamon
